UPCOMING EVENTS!

Starting May 1: Pond Safari After School Program with bus transportation from Bethlehem Elementary School!

May 1 - 29 (Thursdays): Writing about Nature.
Instructor: Virginia Small, an award winning journalist and poet and the author of an upcoming book entitled 'Great Gardens of the Berkshires'. Delve into your relationship with the natural world to express your writing voice in several genres. Excercises will heighten awareness and spark creativity, and reading materials will demonstrate successful techniques. Open to writers at all levels. (7 - 9:30 PM, Studio/ Welcome Center)

May 3: Farm Kids Learn about farm life, animals, and equipment; what grows in a garden; and how important farming is to human survival. (10 AM - 12:30 PM, North Barn)

May 10: Earth Art for Kids Calling all artists! This series is designed to help children build drawing and painting skills while developing a love of art and nature (including insects, reptiles, birds, amphibians, and mammals). (10 AM - 12:30 PM, Trail House)

May 11: Botany Walk (2 PM, meet in Trail House/ Sugar House parking lot; free)

May 17: Artists Day. Artists at all levels are invited to work outdoors in any media in the inspiring surroundings of the Van Vleck Farm Sanctuary in Woodbury. (Check in between 9 AM - 2 PM, Sugar House; rain date May 18; for more information call Joan Anthony at 203-263-3201 or Melody Asbury at 203-263-4970)

May 17: Kids Adventure Club "Wetland Weirdos" is the theme. Discover local wildlife and habitats.(10 AM - 12:30 PM, Trail House)
