Mother Nature's Classroom 2007

For 5 – 6 year olds

*Each session offered at the following times:

Thursdays

9 -11:30 AM
or
12:30 - 3 PM

Each monthly series provides in-depth exploration of a seasonal theme.

Each month, a new environmental topic relating is explored. Topics include plants, animals, ponds, birds, maple syrup making, and Native-American lore. Games and a hike are a part of each session.

Supporting activities include:

Investigating outdoor habitats responsibly

Asking thoughtful and responsible questions

Discovering answers

Having fun with art, science, and craft activities

Theme-centered topics are geared for the Kindergarten mind.

Class activities incclude a variety of art media, projects, games, songs, stories, hikes, nature activities, mini-experiments and time to snack. Expect a weekly visit from a "Creature Feature."
(Bring snacks, but please, no drink boxes with straws.)

Class size is limited to 10 students.

To ensure placement in any program, registration information and payment must be received at the Flanders Office prior to the start of each session.

Cost: Each four-week series: $75/ Flanders members; $100/nonmembers

Cancellation Policy: 50% with one week's notice; no refunds with less than a week's notice.

Flanders follows REGION 14 policy for school cancellations and delays.
