Community Garden

Continuing the Van Vleck Farm and Nature Sanctuary’s agricultural traditions, at the Community Garden, families, neighbors and even corporate employees work side-by-side to grow their own organic vegetables, herbs or flowers, while making new friends. 10 x 20-foot tilled plots are ready for planting in late May, each year. For those who do not have time to garden, plots can be donated to Flanders for volunteers to grow sunflowers for the birds.
        Cost: $30 members | $50 for two plots | $20 Senior members

To reserve an available space in Flanders Community Garden for the growing season or to donate a sunflower plot, call 203-263-3711 x 10
