With spring comes nature's rebirth! Walking Flanders'
award-winning Botany Trail offers the opportunity to view many types of
wildflowers, including some rare and endangered plants. Observing the
ponds and vernal pools will allow you discover how amphibian life begins.
On a rainy evening, hundreds of spring peepers can be heard echoing their
mating calls.
Flanders offers a wide range of family programming during spring, from
birding to walks to farm programs in the North Barn. Or consider getting
your own plot in Flander's Community Garden.

Summer is an exciting and busy time of year for
Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust. While walking the trails or sitting
by one of the ponds, one can see nature in full bloom. Or wander over
to our new Community Garden to see gardeners growing vegetables, herbs,
and flowers for cutting. Of course, programs for children on art, nature
and farming are among our most popular summer activities.
SUMMER SERIES CLASSES
Hundreds of local youngsters attend the Summer
Series Classes at Flanders. These classes encompass nature, art, and
farm themes and begin in the end of June and run through mid-August.
